Women in leadership roles often perform better than their non-female peers
Did you know that companies with women in leadership roles perform better. Research shows that companies with strong female leadership (CEO role and/or board of directors) generated a Return on Equity of 10.1% per year versus 7.4% for those without. Companies lacking board diversity tend to suffer more governance-related controversies. Despite the knowledge that companies with women at the helm perform better, the number of women hired for new CEO jobs in 2015 was at an all-time low at less than 3%.
